Another area of foreign politics that the cleric touched upon was the Saudi invasion of Yemen. Ayatollah Seddighi lashed out at Saudis for infanticide, bombardment of schools, clinics, hospitals, and infrastructures in the impoverished Arab country over the last 1.5 year.
“After all deeds of devil, they reached nowhere and the formation of the Higher Political Council after the coalition of Yemeni parties was another political defeat for Saudi Arabia,” asserted the grand cleric, “Saudi Arabia is the element of devilry in the region.”
He then wished that “the same way that resistance fruited into might in Iran, it would result in Syria, and Yemen with the independence of Yemen and destruction of anti-humane coalition of Saudi Arabi.”
